Engine differences between '07 and '07.5?

I understand that there were changes made in the engine between 07 and 07.5 that increased gas mileage. Does anyone find this to be true? I'm new to Chevy's and trying to decide the best year to purchase. Does anyone know if there were changes made from the 06 engine to the 07 engine?

Any thoughts or input or advise is all much appreciated

The gas mileage actually decreased from 07 to 07.5 because of the DPF. There were no changes as far as I know from the 06 LBZ to the 07 LBZ, but there were also some 06's with the LLY (almost exactly the same as the LBZ)

Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it...

I did actually mean decreased rather than increased... I clearly wasn't paying any attention when I wrote (typical woman)
