Need a little help

Just got done doing headgasket and now have an issue with smoke out of the exhaust. The smoke gradually gets worse the longer the truck idles. Once ya go and get going smoke clears up and is almost non existant. Any ideas of where to start looking? Thanks in advance

Yes an lbz truck. 2007 cclb 105k miles. No codes, truck runs flawless, no loss of power, no rough idle. Smoke is a whitish gray. But can definitely burning smell of oil in the exhaust.

Possible that you have a damaged piston/rings-- remove the oil fill cap, run the engine, and see it it shows signs of excessive crankcase pressure.

Have checked the oil fill cap. Nothing excessive. It doesn't blow the cap off when I flip it upside down. Only thing that was done that I think could be causing it would be valve guide seals, I had the machine shop do them. Open to ideas as I am stumped.

You had a shop do valve guide seals at 105k? Were they leaking when you took the heads off? Did you do anything with the turbo when you had it apart?
