Lift Pump

Just curious, do most people put a lift pump on right away, or go with a cat filter adapter? I was told hardly anyone wastes the money on the cat, and most just put the pump with filters on instead. Quite a price diff, and I was under the assumption a lift pump wasn't necessitated until higher HP levels than my stock ally would take.

I'm running a Adaptor with no lift pump. I am going to get one, just not in the budget yet. It cheaper to run cat or Donaldson filters than the stocker. When I do get a LP I'm keeping the Donaldson.

A lift pump definantly supplys better filtration (assuming you go with an Airdog or fass) than the cat. But like you said, with a stock trans you most likely won't be losing rail psi. The way I see it, a lift pump is definantly not money wasted, but it's not absolutely nesecary under stock applicantions. (Excluding LB7's).
Make sense?

Exactly. I have ran a fass 150 titanium with the two filters it came with as well as he stock filter with no problems.

Its a catch22. I have the money, but I have a wife. I have to figure the price X 2 for everything, because that's what it'll end up costing me in the end.
