EGR- delete or block?

on my 07 LBZ, which is my daily, should I simply block the EGR or buy a full egr delete kit?

2007 GMC 3500 LBZ- built trans, TCT 466, dual pumps, studded one at a time, running a Fluidamper

Depends on the coin you want to spend. Plates can leak. Im gonna do the delete when I can figure out what else to drop 200 bucks on.

whats the benifits for deleting the egr and who make the best one?

2006 gmc dmax.lbz cc.sb. 4 inch exhaust int 6 inch stacks, k&n intake. diablo sport predator EGR blocker plate with fingerstick,afe mouthpiece glowshift gauges pyro,boost,6000k low and fogs

No more egr, that's the benefit! Less soot in the manifold, sdptwins.com makes a nice kit!

Why do you want to block or delete the EGR? I just put a quadzilla 2 on my truck 2007 LBZ and every 150 miles or so it kicks out the 0402 EGR code. Is that why you want to block yours? Dont you thing the tuner companys could program the stuff to do it? Mines drivin me crazy. Love the tuner but hate the friggin engine light.

It's a circuit that modifies the maf signal and prevents the egr codes from being thrown.

well i would say delete it. I used SDP,s kit the only thing with deleting it is you will have a engine light due to deleting the intake air heater unless you are running EFI and you will crack your up pipe bellow unles you cut off the riser and weld it shut. Or you can make a simple (L) bracket like i did that bolts the riser to the moter (using a existing hole that bolted the EGR moter down)to eliminate the vibration. Mine was blocked for a year or so with no problems so i ges its all in how much effort and money you want to put into it. You will get better air flow by deleting it and will drop a fue LB,s by geting rid of the EGR moter.
