Advice for removing stock turbo?

I've done a lot of searching but no luck. I'm removing the turbo & everything is going as expected except for one thing, the 18mm bolts that mount the pedestal to the block. Specifically the left side (driver) closest to the front of the vehicle.
I'm at a loss for how to access it. I'm plenty experienced & have nearly any tool you could ever need but this ones got me a little frustrated! I know Its been done by many!
Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the 3 or 4 bolts that hold the whole turbo on? All u need is a wobble socket and a pretty big extention, Thats all i needed to take mine off. They are a pain

A swivel and a wobble extension helps and that's the best way I have found. In the mean time a challenge like this is a good time for a beer break!

As I recall we accomplished it with an extension and wobbly as well, it is a PITA and doesn't look like it's possible to do. A few beer breaks and you'll get it off.

Those are the ones. That's pretty much what was figuring but damn it sure doesn't seem like that will even get in there. I was just hoping I was being a dumb ass and over looking some obvious solution.
Plenty of beer breaks have already been in order...you get sore real quick climbing in & out of the engine compartment of a truck on 40's. Thanks guys!

Got it! It actually wasn't bad, just had to get a mirror out so I could actually see it! Guess I just needed to talk it through outloud
Yeah, it's gonna get a Batmo, but for now I'm pulling it out to remove the right side head.

Yup, sucks! I spent two whole days trying everything possible to get it out with no luck. I even ground up the end of my snap on borescope so that it would fit down the injector hole!
Pretty sure the end of it swelled so when I backed it out the tip got stuck & broke off the last 1/2". Bitch of it is I was just pulling it out to bench test it to verify that my glow plug controller was malfunctioning.
I only decided to do the batmowheel because I was tearing it all down anyway. Maybe just to make myself feel like I'm doing all this work for a reason that isn't so lame
