Engine power loss

How do you know when engine power is reduced?

2008 Duramax Silverado
EFI from ATP
AFE Dpf delete
Banks Dpf back exhaust
Westen bull bar and nerf bars
RCD 6" lift with MT ATZ's 325/60 at's and 18-9.5" pro comp rims
6000k Hid 55 watt lows
Transgo Jr
PPE shim kit
Auto Meter Cobalt pyro and boost
In pro car wear led/carbon tail lights and led 3rd brake

LOL!!!! I like smiley face...Yep...I was having alot of that not being able to go fast,real sluggish...

There are no DPF messages. Fuel filter was changed about 2 months ago with right around 66% life remaining.

Check your airfilter. If it is not getting enough air, it will feel sluggish off the start. When was the last time you changed your tranny filter?

I checked the air filter about a week to two weeks ago and it did look a little dirty but did not clean,so I will try cleaning it now...As far as the tranny filter,that was changed about a couple months ago.

May be the KN filter. The tire size dropped your torque way down also.

Usually on the DIC it will show you a message saying "Engine Power Reduced". Thats how you'll know for sure. If it just feels sluggish, like KB said, the K&N filter could be gumming up the MAF sensor, that in combination with bigger tires can make it feel awfully sluggish.
