I strongly suggest keeping your factory emissions equipment the way that it is. If/when you need to put it back on, you will be very sorry that you beat the guts out of it. It is much easier and cost efficient to buy a full MBRP straight piped 4" kit to replace the entire stock exhaust. Pair that with the Quad Stealth II and you have the cheapest solution.

I bought the Magnaflow DPF back exhaust system which comes with a straight pipe and a muffler for your choosing, then I purchased a Proflo DPF delete pipe, that was I can be fully legal in just minutes if I need to be, the only thing I have to replace is the DPF pipe back to stock. Picked up a edge race for DPF delete setting.

That's a very popular package for my Vegas and Cali. Customers.

Sure, but you have a 40+K truck, then thinking about jimmy rigging a pipe in place to save a few hundred bucks. I've had several guys attempt it, then ended up with either a full exhaust or the delete pipe to save them a bunch of time and heartache. I don't mean any disrespect by this, it just doesn't make sense to me, unless you're a fabrication shop and can do all the work yourself for cheaper than a couple hundred bucks.

Flo~Pro's delete pipes and MBRP's 4" straight kit are mid two hundred dollar parts, so it might be worth it to drop the coin where it's needed, then save somewhere else down the road.
