It does not take a genius to see that he does support the EPA. Even if he is not directly to blame for what they do he has none the less had his part in this.
Tier II and Tier III emission regulations were set in place long before Obama took office. If your looking to blame a president for something he has no control over, point the finger at Bush.

The EPA is not out of control, they are just now enforcing what was once just overlooked.

I hate to defend Obama, but Tier 4 standards, particulate matter emissions were all discussed years ago. We were dealing with PM restriction compliance plans in 2003-ish.

I think you need to read my post again bud. Never said that Obumer was directly to blame for what the EPA does.

The United States has hated diesels long before Obama came to office. I mean after all, Exxon Mobil does run the country and think of all the money they would lose if all of our cars were diesel like Europe. We would be getting 20-30% better fuel mileage. How would they post record profits if people used 20% less fuel?! lol

He was a senator before. Congress is where all the crappy laws come from anyway. As the President, he's a figurehead, the face of the government, but it's the Congressmen that should carry the blame. 537 people in two houses elected by the people to protect our interests and this is what they do with that power and trust. The whole lot of them should be strung up. Oh, and they just voted themselves another pay raise, thought you should know.

Oh, and California. The pioneers of all of this crap.

Seems to me it will have to be an IP based restriction because if a canadian goes down and imports a truck from the US, the truck is subject to candian laws and can legally use the EFI software in its entirety. Again at this time its still just speculation on my part. Not a bad time to have friends up in the great white north though, Eh.

Efi live is very smart as far as electronics go. I am sure they will figure out some way to make it territory specific. But then again, I'm sure there are several ways to get around it. Just get an ip reroute service that changes your ip every few days... And after you get the new version, then disconnect your Internet from updating the efi live automatically

My question is, will previous tunes stills have the ability to view the emissions tables? Meaning if I have a tune with egr blocked but wanted to open the egr again as keep the same tune, can I open it? Or would I have to compile a new tune?

Diesel motors seemed to get a bad reputation in the US as being loud dirty and smelly. Some of that may of been true but modern diesels have changed a lot of that. I was reading that diesel exhaust gas isn't all that much dirtier then gas engines and if you factor in that there more efficient and the fuel dosen't have to be refined as much witch may still be the case even with the ulsd that they are very close when it comes down to pulution. But even with there perceived bad rep that the average person thinks of diesels there becoming more popular even in the US. More brands are using them and Chevy I'm pretty sure is putting one in the cruze. I wonder how many younger kids are going to fill them with gas by mistake lol.
