Well crap. Went and ordered the LMM Banks Monster duals. Mostly for looks I have to say. That damn potato cannon exhaust pipe is fooking ridiculous. It has to go.

Questions:

The LMM version does not include a muff. Does the dpf keep things on the DL noise wise? I would not mind a little more exhaust rumble, but don't want it stupid loud either.

Have any of you installed this thing? Looks to be bone simple. Will likely weld up the joints once everything is straight.

Any one using it? comments please.

I installed the duals on my '08. Looks 1000 times better than stock. I didn't really notice any power gains, just a little louder exhaust also. It was fairly simple installing and the instruction manual left something to be desired. The manual says you need to cut the factory exhaust in half to remove it, but you can get it out w/o cutting if you take your time. You'll need a jack to lift the rear end up slightly to get the old muffler over the rear axle.

^^ Looks very nice. Thanks for the install tips. I do want to save the original muff and tailpipe. Looking at it yesterday made me wonder how I was going to fish that bad boy outa there. Glad it can be done.

Did you weld up your joints or just clamp em?

Oh.... I hear that the performance gains don't start until the Banks emblems go on. You did that right?

Thanks, I just clamped them, no leaks. I haven't put the emblems on yet, I didn't want GM to void my warranty!

Finally got them on. What a better look. Easy to install too.

Sure can here the regen cycle now. Can't really feel a big change in the seat o the pants, but at full throttle, they sound more "whooshier"

Yes, that is a technical term.

Hi , what is the easiest way to do this, drain the pan first and add fluid back into dip stick tube? Thanks .

Gade, those duals are beautiful.
