I lost 2-3 MPG after the Reflash. Has GM given any reason for the change in mileage or did they just change the parameters for some other stupid reason.

I'm curious...I've read a few posts concerning this LMM reflash and dropping fuel efficiency. Do any of these LMM's regain all the lost efficiency (and then some) after installing a programmer?

Thanks.

To be quit honest with you if you want to gain back alot of your fuel mileage REMOVE THE DPF. Its really the only way.

For your consideration: There appears to be a movement to obligate the dealer to report CAA violations. If I were an investigator (I'm not), I would spend time on the internet looking for unintentional "hot" leads.

search for the words "felony" and "fines" here

don't hate me. FWIW, I think the DPF is the dumbest evolution I've ever seen. Blame your government, they created the statute. A 45 mpg mercedes tdi can't be sold here (emissions), but a 12 mpg diesel drinker with a dpf delete, can. Pardon the editorial, it is important for the reader to know the full potential weight of his decisions.

I am the black sheep of my dealership. I am always pushing customers to do the right thing. This is the opinion of ME not my dealership. I love lifted trucks with lots of mods. Taking a dmax am pushing it to 800rwhp and 1600rwtq.. More power to them.

Well, I was getting the odor in the cab some also and went to the dealer to have checked. They advised that they did indeed have to re-adjust the clamps etc. but now the odor is much worse than before. Crap! Guess back to the dealer I go. Any suggestions? I dont think they took anything apart or did any pressure checks so who knows. Said they used some type of scope hearing device.

I took my truck into the dealer to get the reflash done. At the same time I told the service writer about getting a faint odor of diesel burning while in regen at a stoplight...his response.."that's normal". Guess it's time to call the fleet manager and tell her that I may not buy another truck from their dealership because her service writer doesn't want to check out a problem....

Yep, stay on them. I dont have a fear that my dealer will get it corrected as they are excellent to work with but I wish the mechanic would have just took the time and done it correct the first time. Oh well, everything cant be perfect the first try every time I guess. Hope they get it right this time though because my dealer is an hour drive for me. UGG!!

Just 2000 miles on mine. I cannot tell if it has ever gone into regen. Not one little bit of stink either. The ugly assed tail pipe is perfectly clean inside. And get this. I got 21.5 mpg empty averaging 51 MPH (and driving like a poose I hasten to add)

Around town with my foot in it a bit, getting 16.6 average. This is DIC mileage mind you, have not calculated manually yet.

Have not hauled anything of substance to date. We shall see when 13K of 5th wheel is on board eh?

So i've got 4000 miles on my truck now and until i got my edge it was hard to almost impossible to tell when my truck went into regen. Now that i know when it regens im watching what happens and so far i've had 2 regens sence i put the edge on. I noticed something interesting when i watched my # of gallons display. The first time it regened i was driving in town and a little outside of town. I was driving the entire time it was in regen start to finish and it only used about 1.4 gallons and took about 23 minutes. However the second time it started regen i was only driving short distances in town. I kept starting and stopping the engine during the regen. I got home parked the truck for the night(still was in regen). Next morning got in the truck to go some places and still regening. Long story short 2.5 gallons and im not sure how long i lost track sorry. It seems to me if you keep driving when its in regen its faster and uses less fuel than if you stop and start alot. I know im basing this on only two regens I just wanted to share what i noticed with you guys.
