Pulling

Ok im just a little curious about how the new Duramax's pull. My 03 didnt pull too great, but my dad has an 08 and he loves it. Says it pulls great. I just want to make sure they pull as good as i hear. I haul a lot of hay and cattle and i need the strength.

You can put a custom brake controller in you just have to wire it up instead of plug and go. It's not hard, i just did mine today. I have heard bad things about the built in controllers going bad and gm raping you on price for a new one. I don't know if thats true and i still wanted one with the built in controller for convenience but i liked this truck, thats the only thing it didn't have.

i have towed with our trucks quite frequently and i would never go with anything but a Duramax/Allison for towing..our Dually has towed 30,000+LBS on more then 1 occasion and i tow 8,000-12,000LBS with our LBZ which is a 3/4 ton atleast once a month..

I towed a 24' enclosed trailer from RI to Mrytle Beach SC with 4 bikes and all of our luggage, estimated weight about 7500lbs at the time I was running the Edge and a 4" MBRP exhaust, we made it in 14 hours and I got between 14-15mpg hand calculated driving about 85-90ish the whole time............I love this truck!!!!!!
