Are both hand calculating the mileage or using the DIC on the dash. The best way is by hand the DIC on the dash is always way off for me.
yep both by hand. i could really care less what my mpg's are becasue i bought my truck to look cool and tow my toys. my buddy on the other hand needs his truck for real work and hates that mine gets better mpgs even though i drive like a D**k!
i always have good luck with trucks my 6.OH worked great for almost a 100,000 before it started acting up, and before that my ZR2 had 100,000 on it and i would say half of those miles where off-road!

Does lettin all the foam out really help?? I've heard mixed reports about topping off but I'm not sure about it,please post info on topping off tank with letting foam out of it ,does it really make a MPG difference; TO TOP OR NOT TO TOP OFF fully and release the majority of the foam,What's the method? Please let me know,as an extra few MPG's would help any one on this forum...I would think this would apply to a 06 LBZ sup.erke@hotmail.com
It would not give you more miles per gallon, but it will give you more miles per tank. When I fill up, and it gets to the top, 99% of the time there is foam. I will wait for the foam to dissapate, then pump more. I have gotten as much as 3 more gallons in the tank using this procedure. Sometimes I will even get in the bed and shake the truck, if the station is not busy, this will let me get a little more in the tank. I will do it until I have just fuel all the way to the top. What I have noticed is some stations have more foam than others. I have a55 gallon tank, this procedure can take me awhile

Just got 12.2 on a trip from Durango to Albuquerque going 65 with my S&S 11DB slide-in truck camper. Rig weighs around 11k and frontal area 8.5' x 12'. I'm pretty happy with the highway milage both loaded and unloaded, but she sure hates sitting in city traffic!
I dont know what on earth is wrong with my 08 lmm z71. I have never gotten better than 14. Tried quad stealth 2, not even a tenth mpg improvement, but they were good about giving my money back said not all trucks see mpg gains. Now I have banks 6gun w/ power pda and still nothing. Someone please help.
I made a 400+ mile trip today unloaded and by the dic it got 18.2. I'll fill it up tommorrow and hand calculate it to see the difference. Also, about 175 miles into the trip it went into regen and the mpg on the dic went from 18.6 to 17.2 and it took the rest of the trip to get it back up to 18.2. This was done on the 90hp level 2 of my PPE with a dpf back mbrp exh.
I filled up, $102.00, and hand calculated the mpg out to 17.8. So the dic is fairly close and I'm not upset with the mpg especially with only 4100 miles on it. After I put some more miles on it I'm planning to do the dpf delete, that should really help the mpg.
3500 srw, 4wd, crew cab, long bed, LT. I'm getting 15mpg on normal everday. Towing Bobcat around gets about 12mpg. Huge bummer. I did take a ride to the beach and it averaged 17mpg but that was when I first bought it.
Hi Maxed 08, how do you know when your truck goes into regen mode??? My 2008 2500 with bully dog is getting 15 miles/gallon city and 19 on the highway. Winter fuel here still. 6500 miles so far.
