Last trip, 70mph and 20.2mpg calculated. DIC read 21.3(inaccurate). That is running stock tires/wheels.

I have a 3500 2008 Crew cab Dually with 7,000 miles. I am getting around 9 MPG towing a 10,000 lbs trailer. Empty in town I am getting about 12 mpg and empty on the road around 15 MPG.

I installed a Hypertech chip and a Banks intake system. After 3 tanks of gas, I did not experiense much gain in MPG, maybe at best one to one and a half MPG.

Any suggestions?

Pepe, you went with a Hypertech, thats why you didnt see much of a gain. Go with a PPE or Edge and you will see a much larger gain in MPG.

If he wants to keep DPF the hypertech will do as good as any, because it produces no soot.

Could also go with a full banks package, which keeps the DPF.

The rest of the banks get wont help, the exhaust does nothing. He also hasn't reach break in period yet. I would run hypertech on III and see how that treats your mileage.

Granted, a DPF back system does -0- for performance, but a Banks package does not have to include the exhaust or intake. It would merely be his programmer and intercooler. Anything more than 1 item is considered a package.

Also, ditching that DPF would gain him at least 4! But im sure he wants to keep his warranty.

It wont get him atleast 4, but he will easyily gain 2-4 depending driving style. And no matter what he does with the dpf intact wont help.

I think we have bickered back and forth long enough, lets wait for him to get back online and see what he says. Otherwise, we will be at 30 pages!
