check your owner's manual. You should be able to do it through the driver's information center (DIC). Although, I'm not sure about the newer trucks.

You can turn it on in the DIC options. My truck doesn't elevate the idle until it has been running for about 10 to 20 seconds. I have never timed it but it takes some time after you start the truck.

Does it HAVE to be cold outside to do it, or can it be activated any time? I tried doing it thru cruise (have cruise on, push set to kick up to 1200rpm) and it didnt work. Its activated in DIC and parking brake was set.

If it is activated in the D. I. C. it should come on automatically within 40 seconds when the temperture is under 32 degrees outside.
