07.5+ LMM Duramax PowertrainDiscussion of components that are directly involved in the power production and all that is needed to get and keep the truck moving . Engine , Transmission Ect
Ok, here is my question. While driving with very little acceleration, I go through the gears getting up to highway speeds (70mph), the converter locks in 5th gear, everything seems fine. Now with me doing the same thing but with about half throttle as the TC locks in it feel like it is vibrating as it it locking in with the extra fuel. All of my specs are listed below in my signature, and I have not had any check engine lights or reduced power problems. Sometimes it does this vibration when the TC is already locked in, like in 6th gear and I give it some throttle and I fill the vibration. Anyone experence any of this or know what this is ??
Thanks,

I’m not sure if mine is doing the same thing as yours but, my truck is acting up too. When I drive around 55mph the transmission shifts into 6th gear and then shudders around 1500 rpm. It is more noticeable at 55 but seems to happen around 1500 rpm in 5th and 6th gear. I have been keeping it out of 6th gear when driving that slow but; have been wondering if it is a serious problem. It seems with the tuner the trans doesn’t want to down shift as often. My truck does this regardless of what tune is in it even with stock tune. It began happening when I deleted the dpf so, the small amount of added power from removing the stock restrictive exhaust might have been enough to cause this but hope there is an easy solution. Will the transgo jr kit fix this and what is the transgo jr kit for.

I reset my tranny with my programmer this morning and put it back to stock/no DPF. It seemed to help a little but, is still shuddering.

i wouldn't think it would balloon with less throttle input then when it is smooth....
this sounds like a mike L question
Who is Mike L and how can we get a hold of him. I'm starting to think the problem might cause tranny failure while towing.
Thanks in Advance

what your feeling is torque converter shutter.. i bet you dont feel it in tow haul because the shift points are much more agressive and the converter locks up earlier..
mine did the same thing.. BAD.. i mean horrible, i thought i ruin my transmission..
then i reset it.. did a tranny learn .. and all is well!!
and i just dynoed yesterday 473h.p/1038ft lbs and transmission is doing GREAT
