I found this under the hood and think that it indicates there is a leak of some kind. Don't bash me too hard, I'm no mechanic. Is this a problem? Do I need to do something about it?

A even quicker fix is to take the rubber connector off, and wash it in good soapy water, dry it, and spray some hairspray in the inside where it is going to contact the CAC tubing. Next tighten the clamps real good and WALAH!!! If you can leak oil, there is a good chance you are leaking Boost as well "oil is thicker than air".

Are you talking about the rubber connector shown in my picture? Is this where the stuff is coming from or is it from the adjacent "T" shown in the PCV mod thread?

Another question. What type of product should I use to clean this greasy stuff up? After I do the PCV re-route of course.
Just use some good old dish soap and hot water. If you are waiting to do the PVC, you can at least try and tighten the clamps. It will only take a couple minutes.
One thing that is goofy though is I have 199k PVC still hooked up miles on mine and it has no where near that amount of blow by! Heck I had my CAC out for over a day, tipped it up so any oil that was in there would come out, and nothing ever came out. My boost tubes and dry and clean as well. So why do some Dmax's have so much oil in the CAC system from the PVC and some do not???????????

Yours is most likely coming from the rubber connector. I have never looked into the PVC reroute
