Is castrol Syntec 5w-40 Ok

I just boaght 10 litres of oil today and then read the owners manual. Its say i can run the 5-40 but its doesnt say anything on the oil jug about cj-4 rating. Is it not gonna work for me then, or can i get away with it

Do not use it unless it has a CJ-4 rating. Castrol Syntec isn't even diesel oil.

FWIW, Castrol's diesel oil is Tection...

Castrol Hypuron 15-40 syn base for the newer light-heavy duty diesel engine emissions.
I have used the Castrol Hypuron for 1 1/2 yrs.

It is hard to find in some places I have to buy from a distributor.
But for me it is worth it.
Castrol will be able to tell you who should handle it in your area.
