hey guys, any of u know how to get t/c off ??? i got 07.5 gmc, with the controls on the steering wheel, but cannot find how to do it! i recently installed banks chip and my truck still cut power if i slip in 2nd gear...any info will be apreciated, thanks

I don't believe these trucks have traction control. But would like to know if you find out they do and how to turn it off.

Are you sure that the banks isn't cutting the power back for some reason? I don't know about the LMM but my LLY doesen't have traction control.

I dont understand.. How does you truck slip in second gear? Do you mean from a wide open throttle (WOT) acceleration?

Well here's the thing, I know on the LBZ with Auto/Manual mode, 2nd gear has T/C. BUT....it only supposed to kick in when used in Manual mode...not Automatic. And you can't turn it off. And I have the same setup you do...but I've never had that problem. Not sure if it could be it or not....but I notice you have an 11 inch lift with 38's.....that's pretty big and can throw extra strain on takeoffs and the tranny, maybe that's your problem.

ummm, i duno i'm gonna have to check it out...but it dosent seem a like a tranny problem...i had it upgraded that to...i do think is the 2nd gear cause i can spin the tires in first(auto) i useally do it when i'm turning a corner, maybe that has to do with it?? but the truck cut the power from the engine that i know...maybe i'll ask the dealership see what he says. thank u guys!

Don't have the controls on the steering wheel but do know that if you select the tramsmission's 2nd gear in Manual mode you'll be in traction control. I did this in the Pacific NorthWest coastal sand & could see that the rear wheels would alternate for traction when they were spinning. Selected 1st gear & only 1 rear wheel would spin.

I thinkwhat your feeling is the tires start to spin then the tranny shifts because it thinks your speeding up. Theres no way to fix that though. Just got to feather the throttle a little when you feel the tires spin.

my o7 will light up both tires in drive from a stop and as soon as it grabs second it cutts the power and stops spinning. if i hold the brake and spinn them in first let it grab second it does the same thing but if i keep bolth pedals to the floor it will start spinning in second after shifting back and forth two or three times then to forth skipping therd then to sixth then its hold on to your butt trying 2 decide witch side of the road i wana go off of when i let go of the brake. good buy tranny ant tires (not a good idea tranny gets real hot real fast)
