rpm's @ 60kph 37mph

just noticed that @ 60kph my tranny wont shift and run @ 1200-1300rpm it wants to stay @ 1500 rpm and gets 15 mpg @ that speed on the dic .My buddies dodge will run @ 1250 rpm and gets 18 mpg @ that speed . just wondering if that can be changed and how? thanx

Thats pretty good mpg on both trucks. I got 35'' and get about 13.

14 mpg @ 2000 rpm 75 mph just wondering @ the lower speeds if you can make it run @ a lower rpm like 1300rpm @ 40mph insteed of 1500rpm sound like it reeving unnecisarily high

Don't know if your Duramax has the Allison tranny, hope it does. Mine shifts @ 45-47 mph into the next gear. At 60 mph, the tranny on my 06 is alrady in 6th gear, probably close to 1300-1400 rpm and gettin' about 24 mpg per the DIC.
