Is it worth trading for?

I trade my work truck in on average every two years. Well this would be the second year for the truck I have now and i don't know if it would be worth trading my LBZ in for a new LMM. I get about 13 mpg average now, but I am always pulling a trailer and have a custom box. If I am empty I can get 17-18 range on the highway. What could I expect from a LMM?

If you want to leave it stock it will be worse. I get about 13 if I behave runnin empty, if I am pulling something (or if the receiver hitch is in) I get 10 or worse. That is bone stock except for a couple FREE mods. Heres a pic of it, and " empty " it weighs about 12,000

Keep that LBZ!! Do a couple mods to it and get some better mileage. If you get an LMM and do the dpf delete and you'll see better mpg. Everyone says the LBZ is really tough to beat though!! Besides, its basically the same motor as the LMM just without the dpf, and new body.

Yeah i thought that it would probably be better to stay with this truck. Here is a picture of it. I was also wondering what a new dodge would be like. Not that I would want to do that its just my friends say that they are pretty good.

Good lord please don't go with a Dodge. My cousin works for a guy who bought a brand new Cummins Dually. She said it's a hunk o' crap and rides like crap. And everytime I go into the store, he has to try to make a comment about how much better his truck is....but the funny part is....he won't drive it unless he has to. Go take one for a test drive, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Some people say they have better towing power...and brag about the Jake Brake that comes stock. But like my cousin said....until you actually tow and ride in a Chevy/GMC with the Alli....you don't know what it's capable of....esp. since the Alli works as a Jake Brake. You have a beast of a truck with the LBZ.

Yeah. They do brang about towing, but I drove an 06 cummins and it didn't feel any stronger than the duramax we have. And I don't think that you could feel the torque like you can in the duramax. Well I have another question and this may be the wrong place to ask but i was also thinking of getting another truck instead of trading this one in, and was thinking of a new 2500hd with the 6.0L V8. Do you guys know how that engine is?
