Its because your "Big Brother" didn't love you. Think about it.... Did you pay your bill? hahaha. really I like onstar but don't because I don't like knowing someone can unlock my door from 2000miles away for me or someone else.

Yes there is a fuse under the hood. I don't remember which one it is though.

If you are parked under a thick tree or any kind of structure you are up a Creek. If your anteanna cannot see the sky you cannot be traced.

It could be the same as it is for XM, I had XM for a while and it would cut out whenever i went by a tall building. Never had problems with trees, but anything big and tall, blocking the view to the south would make it cut out til I went past it. Since onstar is satellite run, its probably the same. Either your fuse is out, or the satellite couldn't see you.

Ever since the computer reflash, my Onstar cannot read the diagnostics on the truck. The phone works, and they can read the mileage and oil life. I have the dealer checking to see what they need to do to make it work again.

Cool OnStar

LOL on getting OnStar to read the diagnostics. Seems all they can read on the diesels is:
Tire pressure
Oil life
Mileage
Location of vehicle (maybe)

Before my PCM was replaced because of a bad experience with a tuner, and the reflash, I got a regular e-mail report form OnStar about the engine, emmisions, tire pressures, etc. Since the replacement, and reflash, all they can read is the mileage, and oil life. Onstar said they had been getting several such complaints since the reflashes are being done.

Do you have anything plugged into the OBD port? If anything is, On-Star can no longer read most of the sensors. I found this out after I plugged in my Insight.
