Nuts!! Need EGR help

I can't get the nuts on the EGR studs to come loose (LMM). Is there a trick or a special tool needed. 12mm wrench does not give me enough leverage and not enough room for a ratchet.

Is there someone in NW Ark who will do this for pay.

Hose them down with some WD-40 and then tap on the wrench with a hammer. They are a pain to break loose but that is 3/4 of the battle.

Did you use an extension on the ratchet or a longer socket? If I can't get one of my bolts loose I just break out my torque wrench,it does wonders...

I agree, put some WD 40 on it and let it work it's way in there...

Use a ratchet wrench and stand on it, you have to use all your weight straight down on the wrench. Those suckers are tight

The bottom one is pretty easy with a 11 inch long ratcheting wrench. remove the passenger wheel and remove the inner fender liner and you can get to it. The top one is a real pain but I found I could get to it with the same wrench to loosen and then use a small 1/4 rachet to tighten and loosen the rest of the way. Put the big one on there again for the final pull to tighten back. Hope this helps

if you can get some grab some PB blaster. its like wd-40 but much better hit it and let it sit over night and it should be like butter in the morning. i had the same problem.

also if you ever see stuff called Free All in a grey or silver can that stuff works amazing as well and is pretty fast to eat rust
