First of all you don`t ask anyone this question.
Now you have opened up the can of worms, the dealership will be on the look-out and inform the rep and other dealerships on your inquirey.
It was pretty conniving on how they told you it is ok to delete the dpf but you cannot use a tuner without voiding your warranty.
You cannot delete the dpf without a tuner to eliminate having a check engine light and codes.
The dealer knows this and was playing you.
Unfortunately the attention from the dealerships is on you now.
Never ask permission, just do it and remove if you have to go in for service.

After talking to the local service manager at the stealership he said it wont void my warranty to take off my DPF and change the exhaust but if I run a performance chip they will void it.....he said when they check my computer when servicing there is a GM part number with each code parameter...if I change that with a chip it will lose that number, even if I turn in back to stock.....what do I need to get rid of my DPF programming, but not have performance tuning to cause a void in warranty....as worthless as that warranty is
Not trying to hijack this thread, but does a LBZ work the same way with that code parameter thing?
I say if you want to do it? go ahead...I would be worried about my warranty also and one day I'm going to take mine off,I DON'T like it and I already have a tuner in mine so it's voided anyways...

DO IT! Unless they are a cool dealership, they will nit-pick everything to void a warr. I think the some dealerships get their jollies by voiding warranties.

if you got a tuner on it you might as well straight pipe it, your just gonna plug your dpf in no time
