09darkdmaxx,
My question is why did you remove your mech boost gauge.
First compair the Edge with the mech gauge then go by the mechanical gauge.
Then you would have the Edge to monitor something else.

My mech combo egt/boost combo single gauge is dead nuts to my Edge Insight reading boost.
Which my mech gauge has hit 30 psi towing.
I have not towed since I installed the Insight.

Then I had room for something else to monitor on the Insight.

I am monitoring egt`s on my mech gauge from the pass side manifold, on the Edge Insight I am monitoring egt`s from the driverside BD manifold.
There is about 50-75 degrees difference between the two.

true, it was just a cheap gauge for the time being... i will be getting another here soon...

it also made me wonder if the edge monitor picks up boost readings from a diff. spot in the system...

thanks for the input, i have read alot of threads that u have chimed in on, and got alot of great info

The Edge monitor gets the boost info from the computer.
The manual gauge is mechanical readings from the engine it is usually installed on the return from the intercooler back to the engine. Real life readings with a good boost gauge.
I used a boost manifold from SoCal that installs from the turbo to the inlet line to the intercooler, no drilling involved
And the readings are exact compaired to my Edge insight.

The truth is the boost readings can and will vary a little from engine to engine but usually no more that about 2-3 psi.
