boost gauge question...

ok so before i got my edge cs race "that has a bost gauge" i installed a 30psi gauge so that i could monitor where it was at...was just curious... anyway i put that into the intake manifold just like the DIY write-up... and it worked fine no leaks....

now heres my question, the mech gauge i first installed was spiking out past 30psi no leaks, and i have now removed it and just run the edge but it only goes up to 28 psi???????
is that all that gauge should read i would have thought it would be more than that??
any help would be appreciated

sorry i dont have the answer to your questiion but i know on my lly my 0-60 boost gauge only reads like 28 psi max also. So im not sure of why the old 0-30 gauge was maxed out.

that makes more sense then maybe it was a faulty gauge? owell thanks for the input

i beleive that the computer stops it before 30 psi. im not real sure with the lmm nor am i for sure about any duramax.

These gages are not a calibrated instrument like you would use in a plane, which costs $$$$. These are just cheap monitor indicators.

i have maxed my 30psi gauge out and know someone else that has as well. almost looked like it was hittin 33 - 34.

hmmm... well i will call edge and ask them about the tuner's gauge and how high it will read to...

thats where mine would look like it was reading.... so i am ordering a 60...

I have seen up to 35 psi on level 7, and that's both the mechanical DiPricol Gauge and the Edge.

i am only running on level3 till i get my transgo jr. in there...

chad, i figured the edge gauge was right, does that sound like the correct boost for that level"28psi"?? just curious....

I don't think I saw much more than that when I ran level 3.
