Cool DPF Regen too often?

My LMM has began something strange. I put about 3000 miles on it with NO regen. I added a Edge Evo and now it has been running a regen cycle every 200 miles or so. This seems to be the case no matter what power level I have it set to. The most recent was set Level 1 Economy mode.
This is really annoying not to mention the crap mpg. It blows the whole purpose of running in Economy mode.

Any Idea's why this is acting this way? Anyone else have an issue with these Programmers?

Thanks

Your LMM has probably been regenerating during the 3000 miles, you just did not know it. I find it very unlikely to go 3000 miles without a regen. If you are driving more agressivley (got your foot in it more) with the new tuner, then it will def regen more often. It is my understanding that the Edge product is not a very clean tune. Check out Banks Power for some comparisons of various tuners.

It shows on the tuners monitor. But only if you have a tuner with a monitor.IIRC it should regen every 300 miles or so stock. You could be getting regens more often due to driving conditions or quality of fuel.If you have a tuner on it you have already voided the warranty so you may as well dump the DPF and it will not regen again.

your edge is tuned so the dpf can come off and it will block the codes...

your truck has been regenning every 300 miles, even before the tuner. You just don't have anyway of knowing without the display on the edge. It's 100% seemless unless you watch the avg mpg drop while it's in regen. The edge tuner will make more soot than the stock tuning no matter what setting it's on, so you will regen more often with it on versus stock. Thats why it's so impractical to tune a truck when it still has the DPF. Like mentioned above, since you've tuned it, your warrany is already gone, so you've got nothing to lose by getting rid of the DPF. Plus your mileage will be way better with the DPF gone.
