first and imo biggest problem is the fact that the second turbo receives its oil from the first turbo as far as i can tell. that means that the heat sink (oil) from first turbo enters the second turbo super heated. that is a very bad idea imo.
You mean the feed off the banjo fitting? It is the supply to both turbo's from that point so they both get the same temp for oil or maybe cooler for the large turbo, the feed to the large turbo isn't the return off of the stock turbo. Also, you can use a feed off the block, its only about $10 for the extra fitting from jegs.
Sorry to derail but I'd also like to hear what else you don't like about them, just curious is all.

well that makes me feel better about that. no offence to HTT or anyone else but i feel the big companies with more R&D money can make a longer lasting part.
well i don't want to step on anyone’s toes but i have been doing custom turbo and supercharger installs for the past 5 years and IMHO none of the TT kits i have seen were worth anything.

Are you saying Borg Warner isnt a big company Buck?
Most OTR trucks run Garretts or BWs. HTT, BD and others use the BW S300 as the basis for their chargers. Garretts are kick ass chargers, but if something messes up, its around 1500 or so for a rebuild. With the BWs, you can do a rebuild for around 3-500.
As for the oil, I never really looked at that aspect of it.

well i only ever breezed over the install instructions online but now that you explained i understand what’s going on with the oil.
as far as what’s wrong with the kits...nothing is wrong with them i just don't feel that price is justified. i only like 2 looks for my stuff factory or race. IMHO the kits i have seen in the mags and online don't look like either of those.

no no not all they are great... BW or garrett are what i would most likely run because of how large the companies are and how long of a track record they have.

I guess it just comes down to a balance of looks and performance then. My decision for twins had nothing to do with looks but at the same time its not bad looking at all in my opinion. Hopefully whichever way you go works out well for you.

Price was the main thing for me, I ended up spending less than I could find for a used single kit. Everything about what I've heard they run like performance wise is true also.
You wont make a bad choice either way but IMO if you are on the fence about twins I say go for it, the gains are awesome!
