I just got EFI Live and am trying to figure out how to use it. Anyone willing to part with some tunes for an LMM for me to compare to and play with? I really want to get this thing figured out but it's alot harder than I expected. There is a ton of stuff you can do, but do I want to????? OR should I???

ET Drag, great guy, he's working on a tune for me. I'm just trying to learn this thing, from what I've read if you understand computers (I do a little) you should be able to use this thing. But I don't even know which tables to begin with. I figured out how to adjust for tire size but I haven't the foggiest on how to adjust timing, fuel or boost etc. I wish there was a class or something. The main reason I got this instead of a PPE is so I can do the DPF delete at some point, and I see how to do that too. But man, it sure isn't simple.

Takes a lot of time and testing to get things right. My recommendation is to make small changes one at a time and save as a new tune, then test.
Timing table B and main fuel table is where easy power is, just be careful. You should have EGT and Boost gauges if you're testing, or at least log the runs. LMM's over boost the turbo easily and need work in the boost tables if adding fuel.
More fuel equals more regen. Do not turn off your regen if the stock exhaust is still on. Certain egr changes and LMM's freak out, so might want to leave that alone for now.
Thanks, that's good to know, because I already turned the egr off. I guess I'll turn it back on. The re-gen thing worries me to so I'm going to take it easy for a while. I don't want the filter to plug up. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Another question then, when I make a new program, do I just contune to re-flash over the top of the existing one? Or do I somehow pull the old one out before flashing over? (Stupid question sorry)

yep just have to reflash each time. No need to recopy the current tune in the truck.

So then I have another question, if I scan a truck with a PPE, Bully Dog, or other program on it can I copy and modify that program to fit my truck? And does anyone know when the Dsp2 or 5 will be out for the LMM?

IdahoRob I haven't had any trouble with the EGR delete programing on my tune so far, do I still need to turn it back on? What kind of problem can I expect?
Also do you know if EFI Live is going to make it possible to do a forced regen so I don't plug up the dpf? I haven't seen that option yet, but I have read that it may be possible in the future is that true. I also see that you do r&d for them, that's cool, what else do they have coming in the near future?
