Stock muffler delete pipe

Has anyone here deleted the muffler on the stock exhaust with the pipe you can buy? If so how much can you tell in sound & in performance. Is it worth doing for like 80 bucks?

i haven't done this on a Max'e but if i was you i'd just go to a muffler shop and have them make you one usually they'll do it for $20 or less it's just a piece of pipe flared on both ends that you clamp or weld, no biggie

Im with Naterik..

You can buy everything at the autoparts store for $20-30 If You get the band clamp style clamp you wont have to get the ends blown up to clamp. Also if you change your mind you can remove the clamps and pipe then reinstall your muffler.

Also IMO Id think you'll get more sound and performance if you removed the cat not the muffler.

Looking for some real true tested feedback. I took the converter off of my Ford diesel when I had it & the ck. engine light stayed on so I put it back on. I only have 700 mies ont the truck & want to keep it minimal right now.

the coneverter removal is a true tested feedback, i'm 100% with Tow Master on that one, i have the converter and muffler removed from my LLY and no light at all only more sound and more smoke, "hell yes"

i was just giving you advice on a cheaper way to remove your muffler, but if your looking for sound and performance gains remove the Cat first but it would be better to go with a 4" or 5" aftermarket system from the turbo back probably Stainless, IMO but i guess it's all in what you want and can afford

Good Luck
