sounds great. They are going to be releasing an adrenaline in the future for these trucks and those will be bigger power and on the fly adjustable, not info on them yet.

i check with my dealer on cutting off the dpf, and it only voids the warranty on the exhaust itself, nothing else

they usually only void the system you modify. If you modify the pcm and something happens then you may lose warranty on drivetrain. Just depends on what fails.

Question Guys, I just bought the Quad tuner and from the sounds of things I would like to eliminate the dpf. I just got the truck a couple weeks ago (08 quad cab 3500 dually) and I am a little deisel illiterate( first one). I was suprised at how poor the mpg was towing my 35' 5th wheel. Will the tuner and dpf help? Can I just cut it out and replace it with a piece of exhaust? I would like to not have to buy an exhaust if I could get away with it for now. Trying not to sound stupid, just looking for a little help. Thanks

Just so you know, until that engine gets broken in (somewhere @ 10,000miles), fuel mileage WILL suck! But once its broken in, it will continue to get better.

As for the DPF, yes you can just replace it with a piece of pipe, and your tuner should disable the dpf coding so you dont get a CEL.

You never sound stupid as long as you ask questions. Not asking IS stupid!! We are all here to help.
