Other then that, it is a piece of cake. I run mine on 5 almost all the time, mpg was 3 to 4 mpg until I went to 285 tires and then it went down. Been thinking about going to 265 seems to improve some with them. Have fun and post if you have questions!
I to run mine on 5 most of the time.I have 265 Michelin LTX's on my ' 06 LBZ.This thing really moves out nicely. It is getting anywhere from 17 to 19 city and 20 to 23 hwy.I love the Power PDA,Monster duals and Ram Air w/scoop.I have noticed that the Ram Air w/ scoop does a great job with the Intake air temp compared to stock by 5 to 8 degrees.
I am curious to ask if you watch your Trans Slp range, and if you do what kind of numbers do you get ?

banks with lmm 08

ok, i hear good things about banks six g. I got a six gun w/the pda> I am having major problems with mine. It does not co-operate with my 08 3500. constantly the shift is terrible, everytime it hit 3400 rpm, it would feel like im hitting the rev limit and would not shift and defuel. If you disconect the banks and run it, rpm never pass 3000rpm and shifts just fine. problem on setting 4,5,6 and forget about sl, before it even get to gear 3, it falls out.(bogs down like i lost fuel until it decides to shifts) i have been on this over a month now and wasting fuel trying to get it to work and not getting anywhere. constanly back and for on the phone with banks and no progress so far. i only notice that it would work only when you first get in it and when you let your truck sits for a while, then it would work with no problems, after a couple of times (flooring it) it would not work anymore. tried every thing.

THINGS I HAVE TRIED:
removed connectors to check the pins
replace fuel filter from the dealer cost me $100 @3000miles?
a couple of times eng lite is on i didnt reset it and had the dealer looked at it. all they did was to reset it (this with the unit removed) they found no issues
reset the six gun
reload the 2.1 software
i have put on 1800miles so far on the system

have only 3000 mile on the truck. any advise. i have read from a few of you that are having the same problems. p.s what is a SCT anyway? please help.. oh, the codes i have trown is 42, for trans slip and forgot the code for another one, fuel rail pressure. this only comes up when you change your sl acc pump to 135 so im staying away from that setting to 100. i also notice it will work ok if you go into sl setting and change 4,5,6 to fuel pressure to 20 each then it would shift ok, but what a waste of money, 0-60 onlly gets me 7.9sec. hell, stock gets me in the 9's. it takes off with turbo lag, so you loose about 1.5 sec then it kicks in with alot of power that it would spin your tires on 2nd, as soon as it hit to 3rd on, its all down hill. please help. getting ready to remove the system and returning it.

As to your previous thread, you said you never experienced problems until you put in on SL and gunned it. I'm telling you, once you slip a tranny, it's burnt. And it will just keep slipping more and more and you'll continue having more problems. And Banks doesn't remove the Rev Limiter. You should read up on the product you bought. My personal opinion, putting it on SL and gunning it on a New Stock truck....bad move. And to keep doing it....I would stop. Just put it on level 5 or 6, use that power and still be cautious. After you get a good exhaust setup, aftermarket tranny, lift pump, etc.....Then put it on SL and test your luck.

Cool

I here you my friend. This is an on going issues regards to the one time code 42 Trans slip. On level 4and 5 after learning mode, it has a problem shifting everytime when it hits 3400 refuse to shift unless you let off the peddle. Taken to the dealer with the eng light for Trans slip . Could not find anything wrong. They reset the code. I reinstall the unit, never threw a code again on slip. Again, from the begining, it never worked I have been patiently letting the vehicle learn and still stuck on 4 and still would not shift properly. We can go round and round.to save the argument. I removed it and I installed another unit, and have no issues, yes it was costly for a go figure, but at this moment I don't care. I have money to do it. I will not reveal the new product due to the current one is giving me problems. I'm not here to bash anyone just want it to work. Could it be a fluke on the unit? Maybe, I don't have the time or patients. It didn't work , I've tried the forum and all I get is what I did what caused it. Hello! Its working now!with another brand, could it be better? Don't know, could it be as safe as banks? Maybe not. Is it working? Yes! I am putting the old one in a friends 08 to test it on his. Will post the results next week after it learns , let's see what his truck does. I can do anything if I wanted, I could do dual superchargers if available with a 6000 upgrade on the tranny if I wanted. But first thing first.

I hear lots of people talking about other upgrades in addition to the banks pda setup. Does the banks work fine without doing much other stuff to the truck? I am hoping to get a banks pda, exhaust and intake this summer. Will this setup smoke my tranny or should it hold up to the task?

The factory rev limiter is 3250. The banks system does not change that rev limiter. The only thing that i can think of to make a shift hang up like that to the point that you have to let off for it to shift is either a bad fuel filter, or tranny spin on filter. Have these been changed lately? What is the power rating on the banks and on the new setup that you are running?

the settings are stock what ever banks had on it. I have tried every setting including the sl. I stay away from that since it threw a code 42. other than that after the learning mode on. im still on level 4. shifts ok but 5 is real bad. and Yes, i did change the fuel filter. but not the trans filter. now i have around 5500 miles on the truck. Oil and fuel filter replaced. I even had them clean my air mass. i thought running with the banks intake may be the cause due to oil on the filter, but no not that either. but if you read my last post above. i have no problems with this new one. what a difference. it shifts perfectly like the way stock would shift. On the money. with lots of power. i have to take it easy, because it still learning. im afraid that what ever i had it learned w/ banks may not recognize the new system. I got a little exicted and pushed a little. ( i f****** floored it to see if it would act up and it didnt. Im going to install it on the other truck to see what happens. will keep you posted.
