Hey guys I have been hearing a lot of people say they have the EGR block...What is this all about? What benifits does it have?

it block the exhaust from recirculating through the engine, it make the inside cleaner and yields a little performance gain

Oh yeah she will throw codes for sure.
Most tuners will be able to get rid of them, or you can go the finger stick route.
Pretty sure that even some monitors (edge insight) can also clear codes now.
just my 2 cents

what is finger stick? Yeah my Juice reads and clears the codes, but if you dont fix the "problem" that set off the code in the first place, it will just come back on.

A finger stick is a little computer chip that fools the computer into thinking that the egr is getting proper flow. I am not sure, but i don't think they make one for the LMM though.

I must be lame...'cause I just can't get back there to block it w/out removing allot of things in the way. I give allot of credit to the people who blocked their LMM.

Maybe it would be easier and better to just get rid of the whole egr system...I just gotta do more research on figuring out how to go on doing it. LOL...

Yea ... it's a bitch to get in there. I have not done mine yet also. Started to but didn't have the time to really get into it so I put it back together before I was past the point. Also I myself would not use the finger stick. Great product in it's time but I would use a programmer that has the EGR turned off to do the job of the light. Cleaner and not something the dealer can say something about if they seen the wires spliced on. Just my 2cents.

I have heard that with the EGR turned off you can get away with the same as blocking it but if you push big PSI #'s then it will force it open so a plate is best.

First thing to do is find a programmer you like that has this future to turn off the EGR in it and go from there.
