stacking chips

hey all i thought about stacking the superchips mileage xs with like a ppe hot 2 tune would this work or be too much for the motor? btw i test drove a new 08 2500hd (gas unfortunatly, they havent had diesels in years!) but it was nice and had lt1 trim, auto ac, 6.0 vortec, 6 spd auto, locking diff, all i really need in a truck its a 4x4 too priced at $38,295 with 3250 in rebates
shall i go gas or diesel? the salesman was honest and if he didnt know an answer he didnt make up something

Save your money and time and buy Efi. No matter what stack you come up with you can always do more with Efi.

Basically, look at it this way. If any tuner can do it, so can EFI live. There is absolutely no benefit to stacking on EFI live. It can do it all on its own. Any of the added fuel, or timing etc....that you may get by stacking, EFI can do just by you writing the tune to do it. I dont personally have EFI live, but this is how I understand it to be. I am sure others with experience with it can shed some more light on it.

If you wanting something easy do PPE, ats, quazilla, or diablo. All of these will put out more power than the stock tranny can handle. The tranny is only good for about 90 hp over stock. If you want the very best get EFI live, the possibillities are endless. You can change anything you want to with efi.

The tuners like PPE, ATS, and efi there really is no need to stack with anything on the d-max. They all will put out more power/fuel than the stock CP3 pump can handle.

the EFILive is by far the ultimate tuner but it is more complicated then i thought it is so not for guys that aren't wanting to spend alot of time on it

do'n stack unless you have alot of fuel to the engine and a built tranny and even then a single programmer from either ATS or PPE will out perform most stack setups.stacks create to much timing and will hurt performance of the engine.

ps not refferring to stacks as in exhausts meaning stacking chips and programmers
