| I just got off the phone with quadzilla, and ecm is the same but the operating system could be different, so its a 50% chance it will work. Let me know if wanting to give it a try.

| Yes even after that, these are not fool proof, its like if you dont pull the fuses with the ppe on the older model trucks.

| thanks for all of the input, its actually a rollback... and its at the dealership right now getting some warranty work done and SUPRISE!! the egr cleaned/replaced, but i will try and get pix as soon as i get it back.... the dealer told me that i "couldnt" use a programer because they would know immediately that it had been used and it would void the warranty, and a "chip" couldnt be used because "if they looked hard enough they could find that it was on there also", but if i take it off before i have any work done that chances are they wont know it was there. Im not looking for big performance gains, mostly fuel mi. so i guess the next questions are
1. what "chip"???
2. airaid drop in filter???
3. banks or other dpf back exhaust???

| The stock airbox is fine and the filter is good to. I would consider a Ts Mp8 undetectable once removed, they wont find it on there, and i would consider a mbrp exhaust, but thats just for cost purposes, the banks has the best design.

| Yes if you are worried about the warranty you will have to stick with the dpf back system. Does the 5500 have a dpf on it? I thought the heavy trucks were still exempt. If it does IMO the dpf back exhaust really isan't worth the money. It won't give you any performance gains or egt drops. All of the restriction is in the cat and the dpf. Just my .02 cents.

Just my .02 cents. | thats the response i didnt want, but expected to get...anything manufactured after jan. 1 2007 has to meet these requirements, even semi's. i was told that caterpillar was pulling out of all on road markets for that reason, just like everyone else, the heat from the dpf and the egr is killing the engines... sorry, that was off topic, but back to the original question, will the ts mp-8 help me any with the stock crap still on the truck?
