Transgo Jr. or SK Allison

I am getting some hesitation from my transmission when I am running my truck. I have kept it on the 90 hp setting. I need to put a transgo kit on it. Is there a variety of optional kits from transgo? I need to find a dealer/installer in the dallas/ft. worth area. Does anyone have a clue where I can go to get the kit and have it installed?

Well you can get the kit from any of the vendors on this site. Most any mechanic will install the kit because all it requires is dropping the pan and valve body.

What kind of hesitation or you seeing? I would still do the Transgo JR. kit, but if you are only running 90 hp i don't think the tranny is your problem. Have you changed your fuel filter and tranny spin on lately? Both of these can cause some hesitation on the shifts.

What kind of hesitation are you getting? With just the 90hp setting you shouldnt be getting any hesitation or problems with the trans so thats strange. But, Ya I agree with what BRC said. Check all the normal filters etc.

Transgo has a bunch of kits to choose from. The downside is most of them cost alot more than the jr kit.

I installed mine on my truck in about 2 hours. It was not that hard but you have to pay attention to what comes out of where. You can pick up a Jr kit from one of the site vendors. If you install the kit you can turn your programmer up I bumped mine up to 120

I have decided to put the Jr. valve kit and the allison shift kit in. That way I can be sure my tracks are covered. With this I know the tranny will be able handle all the ponies I want to put to it.

The transgo Jr. is the proper choice for the 6 speeds. The full transgo is for the 5 speeds and not needed in the 6 speeds because Allison saw what we gear heads were doing and improved the internal C1/C2 drum assembly.
