Just wanted to share my expierence with the pro comp power pro on my LMM with only 800 miles on the truck. Alot of people told me to wait until i put more mile on it before i put a chip or programmer on it. I was hoping to get some better millage and to recover some of the power lost when i put the 6 inch lift and 35x13.50's on it. I have to say i was disappointed in it. I only gained about half a mile per gallon average, and the transmission didn't like the programmer. The power gains were good but when i got on it and it would go to shift from first to second it was like the computer didn't know what to do. It wouldn't shift right away and when it tried felt like it was slipping. I gave it over 500 mile but never got better. Needless to say i sent the chip back and got my money back. This is my third diesel truck my first was an 03 duramax that i put a six gun on and loved it! My second was a 06 F-250 that i put the edge juice platinum which ran pretty good but still wasn't a duramax. Im thinking of going back to the banks six gun or ottomind. I was curious if any one else has had problems or not liked chips or programmers they've tried. Has anyone tried a six gun and had problems?
The banks products are really good, but i would stay away from the ottomind. If you really want some mileage gains, delete the DPF and put either a PPE race or quadzilla tuner on it. Without the dpf you should gain 3-4 mpgs.

If i don't want to mess with DPF right now. Is there a better set up you would recommend? Or is deleting the dpf the best option when running aftermarket chips and programmers? The reason i ask is i dont want to get to crazy with mods and end up causing problem with my truck.
Deleting the DPF is the only way to get any signifigant mileage improvements. With the dpf on adding power will cause more regens and you will lose mileage. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call and ill help you out.

100 % agree with Tyler, when I added my Banks Six-Gun my mileage didn't improve very much with my DPF on, it would regen twice a tank with Banks on level 5. Now with the DPF gone I can really see the improvement.

D-Max Hd4 how do you like your set up your running , and how long have you had it on the truck? Thanks for all the help. Im new to this forum but i love it so far tons of great info and great people. Thanks again everyone.
I've had my truck about 6 months, put the banks six gun and mbrp filter-back exhaust on first. Very impressed at first then rode with in an LMM with same set up and no DPF and it was nite and day difference. I debated it for awhile then realized it was the best option for me. I have had my current setup with DPF delete for about a month now and have not regretted it once. Pleantly of power and 18-20 mpg v.s. new bone stock of 12-14 mpg. Very pleased, let me know if u need any help.
