i just did my dpf delete for my lmm and would like to get rid of the hissing nois, how do i get rid of it???? im using 5" MBRP turbo back with quadzilla stealth 2
I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, it is your EGR system that is making it hiss like that. Like said above, the best way to stop it is to use EFI live and stop the EGR from working.
It is not the EGR, although it does contribute a very small amount. Anything LLY+ has a variable turbo which commands a percentage of vane position even at idle in order to help throttle response. The percentage commanded depends on the year model. You can mess with these tables in EFI live. I dont know how much it actually improves your throttle response with the hiss sound, but i decided to leave mine alone. You can also turn off the EGR with EFI live. I actually like the noise, but the rumble is quite a bit louder than hiss. I would talk to Guy at Socal Diesel. He is the best out there. As for a "quick review".. that does not exist. But with EFI live you will be able to draw more power than you could ever dream of making with that quad- without the smoke and it still runs smooth like stock.

Hissing from the tail pipe or from somewhere else? Are you talking about turbo hiss? A straight pipe from the turbo will sound like a hair dryer, won't it?
