Just received my PPEI tunes for my 2013 durmax and was wondering what levels people out there are running and to get some feed back. I currently have the 150hp street tune installed but was considering putting the 60hp tune in it for a daily driver to keep my trans as safe as possible. Just seeing what others are running and how things are holding up for them. Transmission is stock at the moment and would like to keep it that way as long as possible. Also have gotten mixed messages as to what the power levels are for the LML level 1 stock. Maybe Kory will see this and chime in on the approx. Power for each level.
Welcome to the forum "neighbor" I have my tunes but not installed and will most likely run the 100 horse for daily. I'm still waiting to do everything at once as my "pile" of parts slowly grow. My plan is to tear everything apart and do it all at once so i dont have to back track. I actually bought my truck at Bubba in Jennings
I'm running street as well (150). Just remember that driving style has everything to do with how your truck will hold up. "Drive it like you stole it" expect to pay at any tune or stock for the matter. Take it easy (most of the time) and you'll be fine. I tow on the Tow tune, not on Street.
Kory made awesome tunes by the way.
Yea i have gotten several different horsepower numbers from 30-60-150-200 to 30-60-120-150-200 and one other that i dont remember. A 100 would be perfect. So this is my confusion. Just trying to get the best bang for my buck as to which tune i keep in since we cant switch on the fly.
Yea he probably doesnt remember but he actually tuned a gas motor a few years back for me and i have been following him since and glad to see he is doing well. Once i got my diesel i was just waiting for him to come out with something.
Holy crap that had to be forever ago! Lol.... I don't even tune gassers anymore, been forever! Glad to see someone close to us on the forum though
Longevity of the trans goes back to your foot.... A LML is tough and so is the tranny, run 150hp if you want... It will hold for a long time unless you beat it hard or it has a weak system already.
Thanks Kory, ill double check my programmer to see what the levels are i think im running the street right now. Sucks only got to drive her for a day before i had to come back offshore and cant wait to get in to get a some more seat time. Any yea it was quit a few years back you where still in kinder. I believe you new another friend of mine Robbie from Jennings, I think you did some work on a dually of his.
Yep sure enough, I still have those units and facility in kinder as well. Robbie is a wildcat... I think after racing that 12,000 lbs truck with trailers on it and winning it finally have up. Ask him about how to keep motors alive , he kills everything! Haha
120 is program 3 on the autocal. Labeled "econotow".... For light towing it is fine... Converters have been holding well, generally under 1250 on egts... Very fun safe tune.
Just to let you know why i was a little confused. I had some emails to willie at synthetic. He has been very helpful but these are the number he gave me.
Stock file
Mileage 15hp
Towing 60hp
Performance 150
Maxx effort 200 (requires lift pump)
Kory.
I was watching a YouTube video of the autocal for lml and it shoes Econ/tow as number 2. Is this the 120 you stated above that it was the #3. Just checking. I'm offshore so can't check mine to be sure it's the same but I think it is.
Ok. Just looked like the Eco/tow was the #2 on the video to the tow was #3 that's what had me confused like I said I don't have mine to look at and the video was hard to see
I have korys tunes but I have not installed them yet. I went with opt stock. Tow. Street. Race. Max effort. Was wondering if the max effort tune is smokey at all?
