Carter's 2016 White High Country Build

I am so blessed to have been able to receive a 2016 High Country Duramax for graduating from Texas Tech. Let me start off by saying, yes I realize my dad has bought my truck, but don’t let that make you think I’m some spoiled little brat. I work very hard for everything I have, including everything I do to my trucks, and I worked hard to deserve this. I would say the main reason I’m able to get a new truck is because my dad is a Chevrolet Dealer in the Austin area (Don Hewlett Chevrolet, #1 Dealer for the passed 7 years in a row at that). I am very humble and gracious for such an awesome gift and will take care of it with pride and joy.

With that being said, I would like to share my build experience for this truck with everyone. It might take some time to be able to acquire everything I want to do, but I hope to have it all at least done within 2 years max hopefully, that could be pushing it though. I’m not gonna cut corners and do anything cheap, but as I have been doing on here for a long time, I will gladly accept some feedback and suggestions if anybody would like to input their opinions. Right now, my list currently consists of:

AMP Steps (Going to wait til I delete so I can get the gas steps)
Undercover Flex Bed Cover
Undercover Swingcase
Mag Hytec Diff. Cover
Sulastic Shackles
~The Retrofit Source HID’s (5k)
~The Retrfoit Source LED Fog Light Replacements
~Paint matched headlights, grille and mirrors
Eventually built headlights by PlainanSimple (Bi-Xenon projectors, Rigid Dually in the high beam spot, RGB Halos)

~Cognito 4-6” Lift (With Fox Resi’s, Sway Bar, Tie Rods, UCA’s, etc.)
Traction Bars (I’m going to bulid them, 2” dom with ” wall, Ballistic Fab links, left and right hand threaded to allow them to be adjustable)
~325/55r22 Nitto Trail Grappler
~22x14 Fuel Forged FF19
Lux Rock Lights

~5” Flo Pro Straight Pipe
~3” Downpipe
~EFI Live from PPEI
~Transmission Tuning
~Edge Insight CTS2
Fass Lift Pump with sump
SDP CP3 Conversion (Sportsman pump, possible a 10mm)
SDP Twins powdercoated Illusion Cherry (most likely going to do EGR Delete, etc. beforehand and add twins later)

I plan to have this truck for a very long time so like I said, I’m going to do it all right and not cut corners and have a lot of fun with it!

("~" means it has already been installed)

Congrats! I really don't care who bought your truck as long as you appreciate it and don't look down on others.

My 2013 F350 and 2016 Denali HD are the first trucks I bought on my own.

I shal follow the build, enjoy your new truck!

Thanks guys! And the Chevy HD's don't yet come with HID's. The Denali's do, but not the Chevy's. And don't ask me why, cause I don't know lol. Doesn't make senses to me. But Tahoe's and Suburban's do.

Alright, alright. Lol Well I got headlights ordered. The Retrofit Source 50w 5500k with the LED replacement fog lights. Also gonna talk to he body shop next week about paint matching. Saw a 10" cognito on here for sale pretty cheap. Been contemplating that... But still not sure.
