The filter is on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. It is pretty easy to change. Do you have the owner's manual for the truck? It has detailed instruction on how to change the filter. As far as the engine RPO code goes, you probably have a LBZ. Look at the 8th digit of the VIN and see if you have a D there. BTW, welcome to the site and nice truck!
