| Maybe I'm wrong...but when towing...if you don't have an aftermaket kit on your tranny...and you are running a tune....I don't really think it's good for your stock tranny. That's probably why you are going into Limp-home mode. And everytime you Limp it...it gets easier and easier. Plus when you are towing that much...it strains your engine, making it work harder, therefore EGT's will be higher....with added HP...your EGT's will be even higher. Try putting the truck to stock and towing that way...see what your EGT's are then and see if your tranny limps. If you tranny limps stock...you might need to do a rebuild. If your EGT's are high...like 05_LLY said...check the fuel filter and fluids..make sure all openings are clear.
