Big stereos

What have yall guys done as far as custom stereos? I'm looking to do something but I don't know what yet. I don't want something real plain but also I don't want to break the bank. I just want something that will hit fairly hard.

You have a crew cab so its pretty hard to fit anything bigger than a couple 10's in. When I was looking I stoped at best buy and asked a sales man what they sold to fitsubs in my truck. He said what kind of truck you got? I told him he said oh ok, heres this and walked over to a box that was 2x2x4ft I said where do you want me to put this he said well you got a crew cab so put it on your back seat! Bahahaha

I found a place on ebay that custom makes a box to fit under the seat and fit 2 10's... Its freakin awesome! The box was about 150 + amp + cable + subs.... I ran mine into the factory head unit because I liked the 6disc cd changer and steering wheel controls. I had to use a adapter to plug RCA jacks into your stereo wire. Works pretty cool... And clean to!

Cool, do you have any pics of the install? What subs and how big of an amp are you running? I have 2 10"s with a 1200w amp in my dodge and it would be nice to run something comparable to this.

Just bought a slick lookin Q-Logic box for 250.00US (locally in AK, so figure in some UPS to the average 48 retail) that fits a single JL Audio 10" under the "rear driver" seat, and plan to build a custom "half box" to fit four eights behind each rear seat, firing rearward. Will need lots of dynamat....

Comin off a Alpine head unit (integrated steering wheel control...he he) to a Audio Control 4xs active crossover, Gonna power the bass with a JL amp (500w x2) crossing the 8 8's for mid bass (130 to 80) and the 10" for <80hz and it'll stand your hair on end I promise. Then I am gonna run a Rockford power 400 (100w x4) for the mids and tweets two of each...

still planning out the details, but IMHO the options in a crew cab are killer....

Oh PS I am a rocker.... not a hip hopper
and I tink you could fit two sealed box 12's behind the rear seats if you know how to build a good box...

this weekend i just got two alpha sonic 10 with one 500 watt amp(to power my new door speakers) and one thousand watt for the subs and it hits really hard but also sound s good. the bass can be a little overpowering at times but you can adjust on the head unit to your likings. i really like it because it shows up all the rice rockets at school
