dash lights

so since i bought my truck ive had no dash lights, the 4wd switch and all my light controls on that side have no lights as well as the climate control control buttons. when i turn them on the little amber light turns on but the button doesnt backlight

the stealership told me the cluster was the reason for all this including the other components and replacing that was my only option. i have to replace my cluster anyway cause of the 03 pegged speedo problem but with edge and gps my speedo isnt a priority right now and 300 bucks for a cluster is kinda out of my budget

any other possible fixes for the lights??

I've seen the clusters pretty cheap on ebay. Maybe $100.00, but be warned, sice there was a recall for those back in the day there might be bad or gonna be bad ones out there. I was told to check fuses since a few of mine are out. I can't imagine an inlay problem considering that my bulbs that don't work are a few on the factory radio, 2 on the climate control, and one in the top right of my inlay. Good luck

yeah these are complete sections, and now that i think about it im not sure if my door switch lights work either

only problem with going through ebay is odometer readings will be different

Ok, have you checked the fuses? Also if you buy a brand new inlay, they match the odometer reading?

yeah i checked the fuses but i didnt see any bad, does anyone know which specific fuse is linked to them? the cab fuse box doesnt list anything i know of as dash lights
