| Aftermarket Stereo Hello Ya'll,
Does anyone have any good recommendations (personal experience) on a great aftermarket CD/DVD, motorized 7" display, XM, etc. stereo that works with the stock GM steering wheel control buttons?
Thanks in advance.

| Before my Alpine was stolen I loved it. It was an in dash touch screen not a flip out. Looked and worked great, I know for sure that it works with Sirius sat. radio I think it may also work with XM or the stereo shop can get it to work for you. All you have to do to get the wheel controls to work is purchase a module that interfaces with them and the radio. Most good stereo shops will have them on hand and can hook them up for you. My Alpine was the IVA-W200 the current model is the IVA-W205. Alpine also has a high speed I-pod cable that is awesome.

| X2.....Ill second the alpine. If I ever wanted to remove my Bose system Id get a alpine. I had a niceone in my last truck and loved it.
IMO.... If you get one get insurance with it when you buy it. I got mine from Circuit City and had a warranty with it. I took it in and told them the cd's where skipping and the screen would cut out. So they installed a new laser and screen... Definatly worth the $100.00 extra..
With the buttons. I heard thee was a control unit you can get to have them work. IIRC its a little pricey.

| I just purchased the pioneer AVIC-D3 for my wife's Xterra, she really likes it. I plan on buying one for my truck sometime this year. You can buy the XM tuner and the Bluetooth for it as well as a device from Soundgate.com that will allow you to keep your Onstar. I like the navigation features it has as well.

| I sell clarion and i like them. I have not found a radio that would take the beating like clarion will. I have a clarion head unit in my truck with polk subs and speakers. never have had a problem with mine. right now i am thinking about buying a head unit like what u whant. If you need a price on a dvd playing head unit with built in 7 inch screen that fold out just pm me with your list and all give you a quote.

| I run Pioneer AVIC-D3 touch screen in my dash! GREAT Product and Consumer reports best out there! and you need to buy a separate part so that you can use your steering wheel controls... it was for me like another 70.00 or so

| I have a kenwood in mine and I love it but I would definitely recommend pioneer also. The d3/d4 or if you can afford it get the pioneer z3.The steering wheel control module I got is made by peripheral and was about $60.
