WELCOME, sounds like limp mode. I would have the truck scaned for trouble codes.

Check your cigerette lighter fuse. It is the one that powers the obd port.

Try what Big Red Chevy said. I use a Napa gold filter but next time I'm going to change to wix filters they say they last longer. Make sure to prime the system before you start the truck.

I have a truck on the lot that had the SAME EXACT SIGNS. I brought it to my local Chevy dealer as it wasn't running well. Its a 2001 LB7 Duramax w/ 168k miles - dealer found it needed injectors no problem because they are covered. I get it back & it runs brand new for about 20 minutes on my way home and then won't go over 2,000 RPM like its out of fuel. They said the injectors & fuel pressure regulator was very clogged so I hope the shit went into the system & clogged the fuel filter. I'll post codes & results in the morning - I got pulled over driving the truck as I could not make it go in major intersections.
