Airbag error

Hi.
I just bout my 02 gmc 2500hd 3weeks a go, and now my airbag light on, and i get DTC-B0026 code. I wonder if it’s a sensor or cable/connector trouble
Regards

This is actually a common problem with GM trucks. My other truck did the same thing. And from what I was told, if you are not under warranty, you are gona pay more than you want. So I didn't bother to get mine fixed. I just hoped that if I got into a wreck, that it would be with a small car!

I dunno if you still waiting for a answer on this... but i have the service manual right here and for that code it states:

Conditions for setting the DTC
The SDM detects the steering wheel module deployment loop resistance is greater than 4.8 ohms for 500 milliseconds.
The SDM detects the voltage at the steering wheel module high signal is less than 2.4 volts and steering wheel module high to steering wheel module low signal resistance is 6 ohms or greater for 500 milliseconds

Diagnostic Aids;
A short between the steering wheel module high and steering wheel module low signal circuits.
A malfunctioning shorting bar on the steering wheel module connector
A malfunctioning shorting bar on the steering wheel module coil connector..

Hope this helps
