Typically you buy rims with different backspaceing but you can also use spacers. Alot of people put spacers i nthe rear so your trucks front and rear footprints are the same.

I still have stock rims but got 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T. Awesome tire so far! They have a great tread patternso they should go good in the snow and they should last for a while on the road.

285/75-16 Bridgestone AT REVO's on stock wheels in the winter, and 305/50-20 Goodyear Eagle GTII's in the summer... lots and lots of highway miles...

325/50/20 MT Baja ATZ's (great tire) on 20x10 moto metals, front bumper had to be trimmed, and they still rub slightly on the rear of the front fender.

i love my 285/75-16 Bridgestone AT Revo's for winter driving and then when the highway is clear, I put my Goodyear eagle GT II's back on for a high performance highway tire... the revos are on stock wheels and are one of the best A/T's out there.. the GT's are on my 20's and are hopeless on anything but dry pavement.

what width wheel do you have, the reason i ask it makes a big difference on what the offset is of the wheel to what size tire you can put on with out rubbing.if the wheel isn't wider then 9" you shouldn't have a problem with that size tire.
