Drivers door won't unlock when temp drops

It seems anytime I try to unlock my drivers door when the temp is 40 or below I can't. I have to reach through the passenger side and flip door lock. Any ideas on what is? Thanks

Mine does that too sometimes. Pretty irritating especially when it opens the first time, but I get out to grab something and come back and it won't open again because it's still half locked. Not sure what the deal is. I've had my panel off to fix a rattle and checked the mechanism out, but doesn't seem like anything should keep it from working. Also a bit peeved that I can't buy a GM truck that doesn't have the death creep window up/down issue when it gets colder. Even in the summer they're slower than hell.

Id bet its in the door latch itself like in the door jam. Id spray it with some wd-40 and work it a few times. Theres really isnt anything else internally that could mess up.

I had a similar problem. I replaced the two relays for the door locks and the problem disappeared.

Where are the relays located?

Left side of the instrument panel behind a little door. Look in your owner's manual for more information.

Positive what the offer is. We've had my personal panel off to mend a shake and checked out the procedure out, but doesn't look like anything really should keep it from functioning.
