2007.5 + (GMT 900) Non Powertrain--New Body Style--Discussion 07.5 + Topics Not related to the Powertrain, interior, suspensions, body, wheels, tires, ect.
Has anyone else noticed the lack of stereo output (sepration) from the stock P.O.S. radio? It's like listening to Pink Floyd or Hendrix on my stock 55 Chevy radio with one speaker in the dash. I took the truck to the dealer today and they couldn't do anything for me. Does anyone else have this problem? I guess I wasted my money on the Bose speakers and subscription to XM.
Not sure about any mystery button, but the Bose in my 06' sounds pretty good-especially when playing CDs
The EQ settings are a little lame, no subs-these would be good additions.

I cannot help either I dropped mine like a hot rock within a week. Went with a pioneer deck and put subs in the back. Now it sounds great.

i havent noticed this out of mine...the bose system in mine sounds great!!, not as great with the regular radio stations, but with c.d.'s and XM it sound awesome!

The OEM stereo is weak!!! I replaced the deck with a pioneer and replaced the factory speakers with pioneer preimers the added a phonix gold XS 2500 amp and added 3 8'' square kicker solo barics. Sounds great!!!!! Subs if you like lots of bass. I didnt have the bose.

I think the stock Bose system sounds better than any other stock system i have had in any of my other trucks. Like allways, if your looking for high quality sound you will have to go with aftermarket.

My son's 04 Chevy's Bose system sounds good too. Must be something with the new body system (I have an 08 SLT) or I just got a bad system. I need to figure out how to re-approch the dealer.
You might have some bad wiring, even without the premium Bose speakers mine sound pretty good, BUT, it does not take much to please me in that dept, not much on the base speakers and stuff...

I dont care for the bose either, I put infinity componets in all 4 doors and rockford subs in mine.

I agree that the bose is a little weak, it has good highs and mids but no depth. My bose in my 03 ss sucked too though. The wierd thing is i had bose in my 07 maxima and it actually sounded great. I am a huge stereo nut and have installed tons of them, lots of custom work and i was impressed with the maxima bose, not soo much in the gm's.
