| Crappy tow hooks for a truck The front tow hooks sure are a pain in the butt to use on these trucks. What was GM thinking? A closed loop with a bunch of plastic in the way of the opening. I gave up, turned the truck around and used the trailer hitch. My old 94 2500 Suburban had way more user friendly hooks on it.

| Agreed. That's why I had mine chrome plated. They are just decorative in my opinion.

| I thought the same thing wonder if the classic hooks would bolt up to the 07.5-10s? I never had a problem with my 03 hooks.

| I don't know about using the tow hooks with the factory bumper, as I have always had a front replacement, but they work well. A closed loop is stronger than a hook. Ford has been using closed loops since the start of the Super Duty in 98.

| I feel safer with the closed but open is more convenient. Just get a bumper replacement and call it a day!

| hmm I have used my tow hooks to pull out a lifted dodge and they didnt break. The NBS trucks though are a pain to use though from looking at them.
